Dear Families,
Phew- What a year! Navigating the school year with COVID protocols in mind has been a challenge, and we appreciate the entire school community for their flexibility and support this year.
We have had a busy and productive month of June at Sidney Elementary. Along with all of the exciting learning activities in classrooms we have had three school wide spirit days, Jump Rope for Heart, Bike to School week, a visiting band performance, our intermediate field trip to Camp Pringle, and 2 cohort based fun days to finish the year. We would like to send out a huge thank you to our PAC and the parent community at large for your support with all of these endeavours as well as the daily support you provide students and staff as they have navigated a most interesting and, at times, unpredictable school year.
Our music teacher, Ms Kjernisted, along with support from classroom teachers, has adapted and produced a school-wide song that was taught to all students in music class and performed in their cohorts early this month. Attached you will find a recording that she has produced mixing together each class’ performance so that all voices are heard. Please listen and enjoy.
We will be posting information about school start up in September on our website in the coming weeks.
