Welcome Back to Sidney Elementary!
Our staff is so looking forwarding to seeing our students over the next two days at the following times:
Kindergarten: Please refer to your child' gradual entry schedule. Gradual Entry and Orientations for K begin on Friday Sept 11.
Grade 1 Thursday, September 10--8:40-10:10 am (arrive between 8:30-8:40)
Grade 2/3: Thursday, September 10--12:30-2:00 pm (arrive between 12:20-12:30)
Grades 4/5: Friday, September 11--8:40-10:10 am (arrive between 8:30-8:40)
*Full school days begin on Monday, September 14 for grades 1-5. Kindergarten parents, please review the revised K Gradual Entry Schedule.
Please bring your child to the alphabetically marked tables (sorted by last name) in our basketball court for check-in. A staff member will let you know your cohort group and give each student a coloured wristband.
Staff will escort students into the school. Parents will say goodbye to their children at the basketball court and pick up their children from the basketball court at the end of the orientation. Due to our new health and safety protocols, no parents will be able to escort their child into the school.
Please remain physically distanced from other parents and children as you arrive at sign in tables.
Playgrounds will be closed before and after school in order to support Health and Safety routines.

Monday Sept 14 is our first full day of school. Your child’s teacher will let you know your assigned entrance to the school. Please look for this important information to come home on Friday.

Our staff looks forward to welcoming your child back to our school. There is a tremendous amount of energy in our school as we look forward to the next school year. There may be bumps along the way, but together, our learning community will navigate our way through this most unusual year.
