Halloween
This year, staff and students can
choose to wear costumes on Friday, October 29.
Students can wear a
costume, wear orange and black, or just their
regular clothes. There is no pressure for your child to come to school
with a costume.
Costumes need to be elementary school appropriate. Nothing
gruesome or scary, and any weapons need to be left at home. We will also have a pumpkin run around the school before lunch time, so please make sure that costumes allow students to move and be active.
It's important to be safe this Halloween. Before you take part in Halloween celebrations and activities this year, check out the BCCDC website for Halloween COVID-19 safety advice: http://www.bccdc.ca/about/news-stories/stories/2020/treat-yo-self-to-a-safe-halloween
Also, refer to the Government of Canada site for trick-or-treating safety tips: https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/home-safety/halloween-safety.html
We are a Healthy School, so we respectfully request that all Halloween Candy is kept at home to enjoy as a treat,
Thank you!
