Sidney School Garden: Donation of Materials Needed
Students have been enjoying working, learning, and playing in our garden this fall. We have been working alongside our Garden Steward, Mrs. Afford. We have been harvesting, eating, saving seeds, pulling weeds, and are now preparing our garden for winter. In order to enhance the soil for our Spring planing, we are looking for donations of the following:
coffee grounds (from home, or many local coffee shops donate large quantities)
decomposed fall leaves
grass clippings
seaweed/kelp
If you can help us build up our garden beds by contributing one or more of the above items, that would be super! Please bring the items to school as soon as possible. Items can be left outside, along the fence, near the garden shed. Please do not bring materials into the school.
Also, donations of gently used garden gloves or tools are always appreciated!
