We hope that you each had a relaxing and lovely summer.
The first few days of the new school year are now behind us. Our school year has begun in a positive, well-organized and educationally focused manner. It is due to the superb efforts of our team of teachers and support staff that Sidney is so capably positioned to offer the quality public education for which we are well-known.
We recognize that students and parents/guardians are eagerly waiting to learn about the new class placements for the year. Unfortunately we were one of the schools in the district that was "put on hold" to see if an extra division would be added to our school. Our population has increased to 315 from our projected 290 students and our divisions have increased from 13 to 15.
We are confident that we will have students placed in their new classrooms by the end of the day on Friday. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
